Taiwan has unveiled its most ambitious travel narrative yet at the MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur, cementing its position as Asia’s premier destination for elevated leisure. Anchored by a landmark Memorandum of Understanding between the Taiwan Tourism Administration and Malaysia Airlines, this strategic alliance ushers in an era of seamless connectivity and bespoke aviation experiences. Set against the vibrant theme of “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder,” the island invites sophisticated Malaysian travelers to immerse themselves in a tapestry of 100 curated pathways designed for sensory indulgence.

Curated Privileges and Bespoke Incentives

Under the leadership of International Affairs Director Chih-Hung Cheng, the newly launched “Tourism Dual-Drive Programme” introduces a paradigm of luxury incentives. Beyond facilitating high-end MICE delegations, the initiative lavishly rewards returning connoisseurs through the “Return to Taiwan, Double the Luck” initiative. Discerning travelers revisiting the island can unlock up to NT$8,000 in stored-value privileges, seamlessly blending corporate grandeur with intimate personal retreats across Taiwan’s central, southern, and eastern landscapes.

Chih-Hung Cheng, Director of International Affairs from Taiwan Tourism Administration, hope this promotion will give our Malaysian friends a glimpse of Taiwan’s diverse and vibrant tourism offerings.
Cultural Synergies and Inclusive Sophistication

Embracing diversity with uncompromised refinement, Taiwan’s Pavilion highlights its prestigious rank as the world’s third-best non-OIC destination in the 2026 Global Muslim Travel Index. The showcase artfully merges high culture and entertainment: from mesmerizing LED performances by Cirque du Soleil alumnus Diabolo Walker to intimate travel diaries shared by tastemakers Azim Othman, Alana, and Abbas. Featuring dedicated Muslim travel operators for the first time, the pavilion offers a tailored lens into Taiwan’s nocturnal charms and halal-certified gastronomy.

Expanding Horizons Beyond the Capital

The movement extends beyond Kuala Lumpur with the relocation of the Tourism Administration’s local office and an exclusive B2B showcase at the Sheraton Johor Bahru Hotel. Designed to deepen commercial networks across Southern Malaysia and regional travel hubs, this campaign highlights Taiwan as a perpetual sanctuary—a destination that glows 24 hours a day with timeless nature, haute hospitality, and vibrant night-to-day allure.
